5 Element Acupuncture is a traditional treatment for a modern world

Practiced for thousands of years, acupuncture continues to be used as a broad system of medicine treating illness on all levels: physical, mental and emotional.

Although best known in the West for treating symptoms such as back, neck, shoulder and joint pain its applications are much wider. Complaints including period problems, IBS, migraine, asthma, fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep and depression have been helped by acupuncture.

Bowen Technique

is an exceptionally gentle and effective treatment

Bowen is best known for treating musculoskeletal problems including back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, hip, knee and ankle conditions.

It is excellent for speeding recovery from injury and to enhance sports performance. Asthma, IBS and migraine also respond well to this treatment. Clients often experience improved energy and quality of sleep.

I qualified in acupuncture in 1999 and as a Bowen therapist in 2001 My particular interest is in the effect our physical and mental/emotional health have on each other.

Bowen and acupuncture have the capacity to not only relieve physical pain but also to alleviate emotional distress. I see this everyday in my practice and have also witnessed it in the more extreme environment of treating war victims in Bosnia and El Salvador.

Fundamental to my practice is the holistic approach of acupuncture. Our health and well-being depend on myriad factors, such as lifestyle, relationships, work, diet, emotions, constitution, as well as climate, environment and our living conditions.

I am passionate about supporting and playing a part in helping each individual find the path to healing that is right for them.  I never cease to be amazed at how small changes can make a big and profound difference.
